Who Wins the Government Exam Race?

We observe a disproportionate number of young people in India preparing for government exams. The reasoning is straightforward—it remains the cleanest mechanism to jump social classes and insulate one's life from economic volatility.

However, the path is deceptive. While the task (studying) is hard, it is not complex; the path is visible. This research models the "Ground Rules" of this race to understand who actually wins when the path is so clear but the funnel is so narrow.

Rethinking Education, Skills, and "Utility"

Why do many young graduates struggle to offer value despite extensive education? This paper argues that India's education system fosters "Job Seekers" rather than "Value Creators."

We propose a framework that maps education directly to Institutional Utility. By understanding institutions as "delivery systems of utility," students can map their skills to actual economic needs rather than abstract degrees.
